Ember Parkin


Ember has experience in the planning and delivery of cultural and heritage infrastructure throughout Victoria and interstate. Selected projects include the content development, exhibition planning and project management for the Museum of Australian Democracy at Eureka (MADE) Ballarat; development of a new vision and strategy for the Queensland Museum; and content development for a new museum of faiths of the goldfields in Bendigo. Ember’s current PhD research focuses on the social and impact of cultural and heritage industries in Victorian regional towns. She is interested in the role of culture in regional sustainability with a particular focus on the contribution of culture to social and cultural wellbeing in regional communities. Ember has a Master of Arts in Public History and Heritage from the University of Melbourne.
