Booktown on Sunday Author Talk with Trace Balla

A Free Event

2-3pm @ The Warehouse

Talented Castlemaine author and artist Trace Balla has created a stunning picture book, Rockhopping, for young readers about a hiking journey through Gariwerd (the Grampians) to the source of the Glenelg River.  Along their journey, 10-year-old Clancy and his Uncle Egg encounter different varieties of native flora and fauna, some non-native rock climbers, they lose a backpack, swim in a pond, and camp in a cave.  This beautiful companion book to Balla's award-winning Rivertime invites readers to explore nature, have outdoor adventures and appreciate the original inhabitants of our land.  This is a story about following your flow, and the unexpected places you may go to.

Suitable for all ages, particulary children aged 5-10.
